The Women Cell of Joya Gogoi College under Dibrugarh University was established in the year 2004. The main aim of the women cell is to strengthen the positiveness and confidence among the women of the College and neighbouring villages. The women cell of the College encourages the women in decision making process. The cell is a helping hand to expand awareness among the women of College and neighbouring villages about different issues related to social, physical, mental, health and hygiene, gender equity, sexual harassment, employment etc. The cell provides information of employment generation.
