At the very beginning, I extend my warm welcome to all the students interested in taking admission into various programmes of Joya Gogoi College. Indeed, you are the prospective students to this newly growing remote rural college of the state. In this context, I take the opportunity to write a few words towards introducing the college. The college is situated by the sides of historic Dhodar Ali and at the geographic icon of greater Khumtai area. Since its very inception in 1991, the college has been imparting quality higher education mostly to students of poor socio-economic background of Khumtai locality and its adjoining areas.
