CBCS System:

The college introduces CBCS system in BA course with effect from 2019 under Dibrugarh University. Details are available in the college prospectus

(A) FOR HIGHER SECONDARY COURSE

H.S science stream is started from the acadamic year 2019.To be eligible for admission into 1st year class of H.S. a student has to pass H.S.L.C. Examination conducted by SEBA or any other equivalent exam conducted by other boards/ councils recognised by competent governmental authority.

Admission Procedure

Application for admission into the college should be made in the prescribed form available along with the prospectus which is to be issued immediately after the announcement of result of the H.S.L.C. or any equivalent exams recognized by SEBA. There are reservations for SC/ST students having outstanding performance in the field of culture/sports/ NCC as per government rules. The date of interviews for admission in to various classes will be notified in advance. The candidate shall have to present personally in the interview with the following in original.

(I) Provisional Pass Certificate from the Head of the Institution attended last

(II) Mark sheet

(III) Gap Period Certificate (if needed)

(IV) Two copies of recent Passport size photographs

(V) Caste Certificate by SC/ST/OBC/TGL candidates. Filled in Admission Form shall be submitted along with the attached copies of all supporting documents to the college office within the notified date. Admission into the college is made strictly in order of merit and is governed by the college admission rule. Students who failed to get promotion to the next higher classes may also apply for admission along with the fresh application. Student detained in a class for consecutive years will not be admitted to the regular classes of the college.

(B) FOR BACHELOR OF ARTS UNDER SEMESTER SYSTEM

To be eligible for admission, a student has to pass H.S. in Arts conducted by A.H.S.E.C. or any other equivalent exams recognized by Dibrugarh University

Admission Procedure

Application for admission into the college should be made in the prescribed form available along with prospectus which is to be issued immediately after the announcement of result of H.S.S.L.C. examination. However admission into BA II year and III year classes are held according to the direction of Dibrugarh University. The admission form should be detached from the prospectus and after filling it up completely should be submitted to the college office within the notified date. Admission to the college will be made strictly on Merit and subject to approval of the Principal.

Reservation

Seat reservation facilities are available for SC/ST students, physically challanged and sports persons of outstanding performance in the field of sports, culture NCC etc. as per government rules.

The college authority reserves the right to accept or reject any application for admission without assigning any reason. The overall responsibility of selection and admission in to different classes rests on the decision of the Admission Committee. The date of interview for admission in to various classes are notified in advance. The candidate are to attend personally in the interview with the following documents and papers in original. Evaluation Method

As per the guidelines of Dibrugarh University knowledge and skill of a student are assessed and evaluated by the college during an academic session. It thus follows

(i) Sessional Test
(ii) Seminar for Major students
(iii) Group Discussion for Non-Major students and
(iv) Record of students attendence for Major and Non-Major Students

In addition to the above, final semester examinations are conducted by Dibrugarh University as per scheduled for the same
